Buying and Selling NFT Certificates on the secondary market
If all segments are purchased or a specific segment isn’t available anymore you still get the chance to purchase it on the secondary market directly from the owner. You can do it either directly on millionpieces.io by selecting the segment on the world map or if the owner sells it on any external marketplace you can purchase it there. But beware of scammers who potentially created a copy of the NFT Certificate and want to sell it to you. Always verify (e.g. on Etherscan) whether it’s an original. That’s the beauty of blockchain technology.
The best way though is buying the segment directly on millionpieces.io.
Here is why:
because here you can be 100% certain that it’s the original. There are many scammers out there which create copies of the NFT and sell it as an “original” on the marketplaces. Only with the original Certificate you will own the segment.
While on external marketplaces you need to check the coordinates of the segment in the NFT Certificate meta data you can just hover over the desired segment on millionpieces.io and purchase it without any hassle.
The overall value of the Artwork (in this case “World in Pieces”) can be calculated properly because all purchases on millionpieces.io are tracked while direct transfers and purchases on external marketplaces can’t which makes the valuation difficult.
To maintain and develop the project an additional 2.5% service fee will be charged for any purchase on millionpieces.io. While nearly any other marketplace will charge a similar fee every direct purchase on millionpieces will help the project to grow.
